A Montana ranching family must defend themselves against others who want to take over their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned rodeo fan. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to his usual Southern California voice. I don’t think anyone makes better westerns than Kevin Costner, and with Taylor Sheridan’s script, it’s a win-win for viewers. Watch “Wind River” for a taste of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where was Cole Hauser hiding? He’s incredible. I think the daughter is a necessary role, but she’s a bit of an over-the-top bitch. The scenery is amazing, and being from Colorado I can really enjoy the vast, beautiful country. Do yourself a favor and fall in love with this series because it will be a smash hit.
