Current COO Jody Madigan will be taking a leave of absence.
Mohegan has announced the appointment of its new Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO), a role which will be taken up by Joseph Hasson.
The current COO at the company, Jody Madigan, resigned effective 1 August this year, and is set to take a leave of absence pending his departure.
As well as assuming this position as Interim COO, Hasson will also continue to be the General Manager of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
He brings vast experience in the industry, having accumulated more than 40 years’ worth of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, with previous roles including being the COO of Station Casinos LLC and Red Rock Resorts.
Hasson will report to President and CEO of Mohegan, Ray Pineault.
Pineault gave some thoughts about Hasson’s appointment, saying: “Joseph J. Hasson’s deep understanding of the gaming and hospitality industry makes him exceptionally qualified to maintain our high service and operational excellence standards.
“We are confident that Joe’s extensive experience and proven leadership will ensure continuity in our operations and guest experience.”
Towards the end of last year,
Mohegan
announced changes to its leadership team with new appointments and promotions.
