This animated anthology series presents original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games. Video games have made the big leap to the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations into movies and shows. Clive Standen reprises his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the video game Space Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game. Referred to on the Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, that’s for sure. However, I have trouble getting excited about episodes this short. They look like an apprentice company. You can’t fully get excited because you know it’s over before you can even connect with the characters in any way. It was nice to see celebrities participating. Reeves and Arnie both give enjoyable parts. It’s a bit too experimental and deep for me. Also, if I was given the option to choose the source material. I think I would have chosen completely different games. Pacman episode was ok. But it was a demonstration of artistic license taken to its absolute limit. At least it made me laugh. Overall, I think the whole series was a bit overwhelming. 6 for visuals.
