Steve McQueen’s Blitz follows the epic journey of George (Elliot Heffernan), a 9-year-old boy from London during World War II who is sent to safety in the English countryside by his mother, Rita (Saoirse Ronan). George, rebellious and determined to return home to his mother and grandfather Gerald (Paul Weller) in East London, sets off on his journey only to find himself in great danger as a distraught Rita searches for her missing son.
