The urban scenery was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia
Narrative
Solve the mystery of a city in the central part of the USA that imprisons everyone who enters it. While the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and look for a way out, they also have to survive the threats of the surrounding forest. The place known as Beaver Bank Villa has a long history, and many years ago there were residences, a public hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a grocery store, etc. d. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s.
I really like this show, and its acting, riddles, etc
Paved streets and driveways are all that remained, and a fake city was built on them. When Boyd goes to a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. The rope is thrown to him (presumably) by Martin in the room above, despite his wrists being chained.. Shown in Half in the Bag: 2022 Mid-Year Catch-Up Part 1 (TV Shows) (2022). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) Author: Jay Livingstone and Ray Evans Performed by The Pixies.
definitely very cool
d. However, I’m starting to worry a little that this is very similar to the atmosphere of “Lost”. While “Lost” was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing, etc. d. At the very end, I was annoyed by how much mystery was there just for the sake of being mysterious.
It is never mentioned again or explained in any way, ever
Watching the second season, I kept feeling a little irritated every time another strange mystery came up, be it a symbol, an object, a thing, an event… mostly because I couldn’t stop thinking, “Will this somehow relevant in the long term? It’s just one of those mysterious creatures from the fog, hatches or the world, etc. d. Because this type of writing detective stories in the end just starts to annoy me, because the writer can reach behind his back and pull out absolutely anything, and never come back to it.
“Okay, next comes a llama in a red hat whispering the words “paleontological” and “scapula”!” and everything was forgotten through the season, no explanations, it was just to be strange
Nevertheless, I will continue to watch, but if it ever ends in such a way that everything will just be at the level of “it was all in his head!” and there will not even be an attempt to connect all this with some thematic logic, so consider that this review should be reduced by at least 2-3 points…
