character during the making of “The Penguin”
Narrative
Following the events of The Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, makes a play to take over the reins of Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how they became one. Colin Farrell fought hard to have his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in The Batman (2022), but it didn’t work out.
The DC Studios logo is placed in a rainy Gotham alley
However, for his own series, the character is depicted as a casual smoker with a preference for cigars. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo.
Colin Farrell is absolutely fantastic as Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin
Introduced in Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024). I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced that it would be coming to series, and I can say that it’s every bit as good as I expected. He excelled in The Batman and is even better in a lead role.
It’s a great cop drama in its own right
Plus, Cristin Milioti is just as good as Sofia Falcone. The two battle to see who is Gotham’s number one gangster and “bring order to all the chaos.” Some people were worried that a supporting character like The Penguin wouldn’t be able to carry a show and wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not, because this is more than just a villain in a superhero show, it’s… It’s a violent cop drama that’s a lot of fun to watch.
I hope we get more stories like this from this world
